SSL or TLS encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data that you send to us cannot be read by third parties.
4. Data collection on this website
Cookies
Our websites use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your device. They are either temporarily stored on your device for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.
Cookies can come from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain third-party services within websites (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies can be used to evaluate user behavior or for advertising purposes.
Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions you require (e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimize the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Section 25 Para. 1 TDDDG); consent can be revoked at any time.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.
You can find out which cookies and services are used on this website in this privacy policy.
5. Analysis tools and advertising
Matomo
This website uses the open source web analysis service Matomo.
With the help of Matomo, we are able to collect and analyze data on the use of our website by website visitors. This enables us to find out, among other things, when which page views were made and which region they come from. We also record various log files (e.g. IP address, referrer, browsers and operating systems used) and can measure whether our website visitors carry out certain actions (e.g. clicks, purchases, etc.).
This analysis tool is used on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising. If the corresponding consent has been requested, the processing will be carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s end device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. The consent can be revoked at any time.
IP anonymization
We use IP anonymization when analyzing with Matomo. Your IP address is shortened before the analysis so that it can no longer be clearly assigned to you.
Cookieless analysis
We have configured Matomo so that Matomo does not store cookies in your browser.
You may choose to prevent this website from aggregating and analyzing the actions you take here. Doing so will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and creating a better experience for you and other users.
Hosting
We host Matomo exclusively on our own servers so that all analysis data remains with us and is not passed on.
Google Ads
This website uses the online marketing tool Google Ads from Google (“Google Ads”). Google Ads uses cookies to display ads that are relevant to users, to improve campaign performance reports, or to prevent a user from seeing the same ads multiple times. Google uses a cookie ID to record which ads are displayed in which browser and can thus prevent them from being displayed multiple times. In addition, Google Ads can use cookie IDs to record so-called conversions that are related to ad requests. This is the case, for example, when a user sees a Google Ads ad and later visits the advertiser’s website using the same browser and buys something there. According to Google, Google Ads cookies do not contain any personal information.
Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server. By integrating Google Ads, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding part of our website or clicked on one of our ads. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, there is a possibility that Google will find out and save your IP address.
You can prevent participation in this tracking process in various ways:
by setting your browser software accordingly, in particular suppressing third-party cookies means that you will not receive any third-party ads;
by deactivating cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain «www.googleadservices.com», https://adssettings.google.com, whereby this setting will be deleted if you delete your cookies;
by deactivating interest-based ads from providers who are part of the «About Ads» self-regulation campaign via the link https://www.aboutads.info/choices, whereby this setting will be deleted if you delete your cookies;
by permanently deactivating in your Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome browsers at the link https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. We would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this offer to their full extent.
The legal basis for the processing of your data is a balancing of interests, according to which the processing of your personal data described above is not opposed by any overriding opposing interests on your part (Art. 6 Para. 1 Clause 1 Letter f GDPR). Further information on Google Ads from Google can be found at https://ads.google.com/intl/de_DE/home/, as well as on data protection at Google in general: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Alternatively, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) website at https://www.networkadvertising.org.
Brevo
We use Brevo on our website to send newsletters. The provider is Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany (“SendInBlue”). Brevo is a service that can be used to organize and analyze newsletter distribution. The data you enter to receive the newsletter (e.g. email address) is stored on Brevo’s servers.
Our newsletters sent with Brevo enable us to analyze the behavior of newsletter recipients. This can be used to analyze, among other things, how many recipients opened the newsletter message and how often which link in the newsletter was clicked. All links in the email are so-called tracking links that can be used to count your clicks.
If you do not want Brevo to analyze the newsletter, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a corresponding link in every newsletter message for this purpose. You can also revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by sending an email to the address provided in our legal notice.
The data you provide to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from both our servers and Brevo’s servers after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data that we have stored for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for the members’ area) remains unaffected.
For more information, please see Brevo’s privacy policy at: https://www.brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy/.
We have entered into a contract with Brevo in which we oblige Brevo to protect our customers’ data and not to pass it on to third parties.
6. Newsletter
Newsletter data
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we need an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected or is only collected on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively to send the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.
The data entered in the newsletter registration form is processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the email address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data you provide to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter mailing list after you unsubscribe from the newsletter or if the purpose no longer applies. We reserve the right to delete or block email addresses from our newsletter mailing list at our own discretion within the scope of our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
Data that we have stored for other purposes remains unaffected.
After you unsubscribe from the newsletter mailing list, your email address may be stored in a blacklist by us or the newsletter service provider if this is necessary to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and will not be merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with the legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Storage in the blacklist is not time-limited. You can object to storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interests.
